Storage Retrieval / Fork System

Performance

wh_02_140j.jpgThe SR/F is designed for continuous duty operation at its full load rated capacity. A conservative estimate of 40 dual load movements per hour per machine is easily attained (based on a 300 ft aisle). With a maximum of 700 FPM horizontal and 90 FPM vertical, the SR/F has the capability of matching any S/R machine’s throughput.

These speeds are precisely programmable along with acceleration/deceleration to meet each users individual requirements. Actual throughput is governed by the length and height of the rack aisles.

Typical man ride fork truck systems usually can attain a throughput of only 10 single moves per hour when serving a rack storage system. With SR/F installed, fork trucks if used need only travel to the head of each aisle or in rack P&D locations to deposit or pick up pallets. There is no need for the man ride fork truck to travel into the rack structure and carefully deposit or retrieve pallets on shelves that are often above eye level.

Most users will be able to reduce the number of man ride fork trucks necessary to maintain these increased throughput levels by one half or more. Therefore, further boosting operation cost savings.
