Pick-to-Light Technologies

Whether you are picking or putting/storing product, accuracy and speed are the two factors every operation must balance.

Pick-to-Light technology assists operators with four basic functions:

  • Picking a specific or active item
  • Putting an item in an active order or location
  • Communicating a message such as a quantity, description, etc
  • Completing the task and moving to the next task

Pick-to-Light Products

Light Tower:
Display modules housed in extruded uprights indicate the active carousel, shelf level, cell location and quantity to pick. Often one Light Tower is placed in between two carousels and is software driven. Provides a good blend of increased accuracy and throughput on a limited budget.
Light Frames:
A frame of lights encompassing a horizontal carousel bin. Each shelf level has two cells (left and right) and a beacon on the light frame indicates the side and the shelf level for quick and accurate picking. Ideal for putting or consolidating carousel applications due to its simplicity and economy.
Message Centers:
Provides high visibility and product specific information to operators on transactions where additional information, such as SKU numbers, descriptions, aliases (AKA), pick quantity or other data is needed for the operator to pick accurately. Available in a variety of sizes, colors and characters. Mounts easily within workstations and integrates with most leading inventory management software.
Put/Batch Lights:
Lights or indicators that direct an operator to put/store items in a specific or active location replenishment. Often indicates the quantity of items to put in the active location. Ideal for consolidation, batch picking and sortation applications. Available in a variety of modules each designed with specific functions and functionality.
Pick Lights:
Lights that direct an operator to pick an item from a specific or active location. Often indicates the location and the quantity of items to pick. Ideal for batch picking and sortation applications. Available in a variety of modules each designed with specific functions and functionality.
